Maytag Washer, recently widowed, took today as his wife a new Maytag Dryer. This is a May-December romance, as Washer is at least 15 years older than the new, sleek model. They will continue to reside together in the first floor laundry room.
Both Washer and Dryer will be very busy the first few days of their married life catching up on the massive amounts of laundry that is waiting. It is said that the new Maytag Dryer is a much quieter mate than the last one. However, it’s been my experience that most new brides start the marriage quietly and only get louder with time and wear.
