As of this morning, I’ve lost 17 pounds. My son has lost 20 and my husband is now at 25 pounds lost. Even more interesting, I’ve lost a total of 7.5 inches throughout my body.
This really doesn’t feel like dieting. That’s why it’s working for us. It’s just eating the right foods at the right times of day and in the right amounts. It isn’t rocket science, it’s just getting back to basics. More fresh fruits and vegetables, taking care not to eat too much refined sugar, bad fats and treats in moderation. We don’t tell ourselves we can’t have something—from personal experience, that’s the kiss of death. We just plan for it and when we’ve had treats we try to exercise a little more to compensate.
This week has been hard. With so much illness, working out hasn’t been a realistic option. However, we’re still trying to eat as well as we can. If we have chicken noodle soup, at least we’re opting for homemade or the lower sodium varieties. We miss going to the gym, believe it or not, but, it’s not a good place to go when you’re sick.
3 more pounds and I’ll make my first major milestone. Hope it’s next week!!!!!
