I was out of town yesterday meeting with a colleague and attending a demo of a new Web analytics tool. The analytics resource was very impressive and, as with most things in our trade, very costly. I’m not sure if it will be something that is affordable for our needs, but, it was good to see an application that was well made and very flexible.
That said, on to more important things. We had lunch at a great restaurant called Yia Yia’s. I’m not usually a big fan of hummus, but, oh my goodness, do these folks know how to do hummus! The entire meal was outstanding, but, the big finale was to die for. We ordered a couple of desserts to share. One was a chocolate fudge brownie wrapped in phyllo dough and baked, topped with ice cream and a lovely sauce. However, the bread pudding was perhaps one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. It was a lovely cinnamon and apple concoction, perfectly baked and finished with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Oh—my—gosh… You’ve got to try this!
It was a nice day and we were able to avoid the rain and thunderstorms both there and back. Although it was a working trip, it was nice for my pal Niki and me to get out of the office for a short bit.
