Tomorrow, I’m out of here for a week, headed for Colorado. I must say, I’m ready for a little time away from home. Things have been pretty hectic on all fronts lately and I think a change of scenery, even if I’m working part of the time, is just what the doctor ordered!
It will be good to see the family in Denver. My husband will hang out with his folks there while I head on up to Boulder for a little work. That’s really a treat for me. I get to see a lot of my friends and colleagues in the Web world and catch up on things, while also doing some work for a professional organization that is interesting and fun.
The real challenge now is how to pack. That area of the country is still seeing snow, although the weather forecast is calling for some warmer, spring-like temperatures. I guess the only answer is pack for anything, take your coat and hope you don’t need it. These decisions are easier when you’re driving instead of flying.
We’re taking Lucy (the Jack Russell Terrier) with us. She loves to travel, loves Grandma and Grandpa and hates to be left behind. She’s a wonderful traveler, too. Never makes a peep the whole way and loves to look out the window and see what’s going on. We figure the old gal needs a break just as much as we do.
The next posts will be from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I’ll try to post a few pics along the way!
