Welcome to my blog, the View From My Window! I have long been a reader of the blogs of other friends, family and colleagues and thought it was high time that I created a place to share my own rather profound thoughts. This will be a place to share my views about many things including life in Small Town, USA, my work in the Web world of higher education, my interests as a musician and cook and the family that really makes my life worth living.
In order to understand the view from my window, you have to know more about my eyes. They’re rather unusal eyes. They’re not your typical blue, brown or green eyes. They are, in fact, hazel. Depending on what I’m wearing or what mood I’m in, my eyes actually change colors. How does this impact the view as seen through my eyes? Depending on what mood I’m in, where I am in my life and what’s happening around me, my view is very changeable. The musings here are sure to be interesting, full of humor and almost never misspelled. That’s a personal pet peeve, by the way. I have to admit, I proofread menus at restaurants…
The woman with the hazel eyes and the changeable views is in midlife, has a husband and six children (yes, you read that correctly) and two grandchildren with another arriving in April. I’m always busy, rarely bored and am rather passionate about most of my views. I am definitely of Irish descent so don’t be surprised when you sense a bit of the Irish temper. It’s very colorful, but, also passes quickly. Do not be afraid. My children say I’m loud, but, pretty harmless.
Today my eyes are blue-green. Looks to be a pretty calm view from the window this day.
